Determine What Phase Your Spine Is In
June 3, 2022
Hello everyone, it's Dr. Aaron Seaton with The Chiropractic Place here in Redding, California, doing another video today. We got some images here. Video today is about what phase is your spine in? And we use this terminology in chiropractic to describe where the spine is if there is a significant degree of arthritis, wear and tear, degenerative disc disease, and things like this that we see in our X-rays that we take here in the office. So we use this as kind of a guide for our patients, for them to better understand, this is where your spine is, we've taken X-rays to demonstrate what that is, and that way we can make a good recommendation to that patient about what their chiropractic care needs are, not just short-term but also long-term, because when we start seeing these degenerative changes as you can see in this regular chiropractic adjustment and how much that can help your spine along the course of your life.
Not just coming in when you're in pain but also continuing with your chiropractic care when you're not hurting to take care of your spine. This is very similar to dentistry. Most of us go to the dentist at least every six months. We are instructed, "Hey, you need to brush, you need to floss your teeth, hopefully, twice a day, but you also need to come in for those deeper cleanings and for us to take X-rays, look at your teeth, see what's going on and prevent any major problems from developing."
That's true in dentistry. That's also true in chiropractic. We want to prevent problems long-term and know about them before they become major so that we can do something early to ensure that that doesn't develop into a major problem. So hopefully, this little chart gives you an understanding of what we're doing in our chiropractic clinics when we're taking X-rays and trying to educate our patients on what we see here. I'm Dr. Aaron Seaton with The Chiropractic Place.
